KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman has announced that she will be taking a temporary hiatus from the group to focus on her health and wellbeing.
The news was shared on Feb. 20 through the group’s official X account. In a statement, KATSEYE said they fully support Manon’s decision and emphasized their commitment to one another and to their fans.
“We fully support this decision,” the group wrote. They added that they remain committed to showing up for each other and for the fans who mean everything to them.

KATSEYE confirmed that they will continue with scheduled activities during Manon’s absence. The members, including Yoonchae, Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, Sophia Laforteza and Megan Skiendiel, shared that they are looking forward to being together again when the time is right. They also thanked their fandom, known as EYEKONS, for their continued love, patience and understanding.
Manon, 23, became part of KATSEYE when the group was formed on Netflix’s Popstar Academy in 2024. Since then, the Swiss born singer has spoken openly about the close bond she shares with her bandmates and the importance of supporting one another throughout their fast rising career.
At the 2026 Grammy Awards, where KATSEYE performed and received a nomination for Best New Artist, Manon reflected on how meaningful the milestone was for her. She described attending and performing at the ceremony as a dream and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share the moment with her group.

Throughout her time with KATSEYE, Manon has often highlighted the group’s strong communication and mutual care as key to navigating the pressures of the industry. As she steps back to prioritize her wellbeing, fans around the world have begun sharing messages of support and encouragement across social media.
No timeline has been announced for her return. The group stated that Manon will rejoin activities when the time is right.
