Rumours recently suggested that Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s upcoming sequel had locked a runtime of 208 minutes, or 3 hours and 28 minutes, after receiving certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Sounds specific, right? Well, not quite.
The Runtime Mix-Up
After a closer look, it turns out the CBFC website lists certification details for Dhurandhar the first film, and not Dhurandhar 2. The UA 16+ certificate dated February 9 is reportedly for the television premiere of the original blockbuster.
So no, Dhurandhar 2 hasn’t officially locked a 3-hour-28-minute runtime, at least not yet.
For context, the first film, Dhurandhar, clocked in at a massive 3 hours and 35 minutes and still managed to keep audiences glued to their seats. If the sequel does trim things down slightly, fans might get a tighter, punchier ride this time around.
What We’re Hearing About The Dhurandhar 2 Plot
While nothing is confirmed, internet chatter suggests the sequel will explore the rise of Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, after Rehman Dakait’s death. Expect a gritty counter-mission, underworld takedowns, and some big identity reveals.
There’s also buzz about:
A high-octane cameo by Yami Gautam as a deep-cover operative
Major Iqbal and SP Chaudhary Aslam teaming up
A daring final extraction mission
If even half of this turns out to be true, the sequel promises scale, drama, and plenty of whistle-worthy moments.
The Big Clash
Mark your calendars for March 19. The film is set to clash at the box office with Toxic, headlined by Yash.

Two big action spectacles. One release window. Bollywood and Sandalwood fans are in for an exciting showdown.
Until an official confirmation drops, the runtime debate remains just that, a debate. But one thing’s certain, Dhurandhar 2 already has everyone talking.
